Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
A professor of mine once said, “What you notice increases.” I’m not sure if that was his original concept or borrowed from someone else, but in my professional experience I’ve found it to be true that closely exploring thoughts and feelings moves us more deeply toward optimal living.
My practice focuses on one’s perceptions and experiences with the goal of redirecting negative thoughts and achieving improved feelings and healthier perspectives. I’ve been a licensed therapist for 18 years in Ohio and recently was admitted to practice in Pennsylvania.
I’ve had clients who struggle with negative self-image or self-harm - from the difficult family to the intolerable self. My main areas of specialty are working with people who struggle with mood issues, anxiety, and substance misuse issues. I primarily utilize cognitive behavioral therapy because research shows it is one of the “gold standard” therapies. No matter the approach, I am here to listen, understand, and advocate for you. I enjoy working with teenagers and adults via teletherapy appointments. You can have a happier life - let’s talk.
