Licensed Professional Counselor, Registered Art Therapist (LPC, ATR-BC)

Life can be challenging and stressful. Deciding to seek therapy shows your courage and desire to work towards improving your overall health and well-being. I’m a licensed professional counselor and board certified art therapist with over 12 years of experience working within the mental health field. I specialize in providing support and guidance for those experiencing trauma, loss, depression and/or anxiety.

My approach is to be both strength-based in helping you to recognize your own abilities and to positively challenge you to identify changes and coping skills necessary for you to be more successful in your daily activities and responsibilities.

My background includes working with adults, children, adolescents and families. It’s up to you if you are interested in traditional therapeutic discussion or if you would like to incorporate creative art in your sessions. Often times, art can be a bridge to uncovering more about yourself that can be difficult in the beginning to put into words.

Therapy is a process and a journey, and you don’t have to do it alone. I’m very interested in being a part of this journey to support you with no judgement in reaching your personal goals. Please contact me to today to discuss the challenges you or a family member are facing.

Individual Adolescent Therapy

Being an adolescent is a unique and vulnerable time when relationships and feelings of connectedness are important. Living in a constantly expanding world, means a delicate balance between healthy boundaries and attempts at self-discovery. Mastering social skills, self-image, identification with society/culture, and having opportunities to make meaningful contributions to their communities can be just a few life stressors that lead to stress and the unhealthy expression of emotions. It’s important for adolescents to have a voice in shaping their lives. They need opportunities to creatively express new interests, thoughts, and emotions. I deeply respect the individuality of each of my teen clients and provide a safe place for them to tap into their inner resources and strengths and to develop positive coping skills that will last a lifetime.
