Meet The Therapists
Dr. Heidi McKenzie
Psy.D, MFT, LCP
I'm an experienced, licensed psychologist who has been helping people get "unstuck" from unhelpful behavior patterns for over 20 years. Whether you're facing a temporary, difficult life situation or struggling with more long-standing problems like depression or anxiety, I can help.
Dr. Jill Fischer
Whether you’re a therapy veteran or a newbie, I believe I can help. Because I believe that therapy is not a “one size fits all” endeavor, I will listen to what you want to get out of therapy so that I can use my expertise to guide you in a way that fits your unique needs and circumstances.
Dr. Jennifer Tari
I’m an experienced, licensed clinical psychologist and have been working in the mental health field for over 20 years. In that time, I have helped people with problems from many angles and virtually every “walk of life” and all ages to live more fulfilling lives.
Dr. Lisa Phillips
I am a licensed clinical psychologist who has worked with children and family services for the majority of my career. As such, I have worked with clients across the life span, including couples work, substance use and recovery, spiritual dilemmas, parent training, and most recently, elder therapy.
Dr. Joelle Giacomo
As a licensed clinical therapist, my goals are to help you embark on a different path that suits your authentic self in a better way. Life is filled with uncertainty and chaos but having a fresh, objective viewpoint often brings clarity.
Dr. Kathryn Defilippi
I have a Ph.D in industrial and organizational psychology which informs a special interest and expertise in work/life balance and wellness issues. I feel that everyone can benefit of therapy and I aim in my sessions to make the experience both
rewarding and fun.
I have spent the last 10 years working for and with children, families, teachers, and staff in educational and home settings. I have helped children and adults cope with trauma, life transitions, bereavement, chronic illness, emotion-regulation, and social-emotional skill learning.
My practice focuses on one’s perceptions and experiences with the goal of redirecting negative thoughts and achieving improved feelings and healthier perspectives. I’ve been a licensed therapist for 18 years in Ohio and recently was admitted to practice in Pennsylvania.
I hope to provide you with a non-judgmental and supportive environment to help you feel the most comfortable. My goal is to give you what you need from therapy- skills, support, validation, a listening ear, whatever it may be.
We each have an experience and perspective that is authentic, valuable, and unique. Our journey may be exciting and fulfilling but also painful and confusing at times. In my practice, I respect the courage that it takes to reach out to a therapist and it is an honor to be invited into your life experience.
Deciding to seek therapy shows your courage and desire to work towards improving your overall health and well-being. I’m a licensed professional counselor and board-certified art therapist with over 12 years of experience working within the mental health field.
Anxiety can feel uncomfortable and debilitating and can cause countless hours of worry, extreme physical sensations, and interfere with quality of life. Therapy can help to improve these symptoms and get you back to doing the things you enjoy.
Life is stressful. Even the best organized, thoughtful, careful, intelligent person finds themselves overwhelmed and feeling alone. Whether it's a long-term chronic issue or dealing with a newer problem such as a job challenge, or relationship issue - I can help.
Therapy is one of the most personal and most empowering choices that you can make to support your health and happiness. Life can be full of uncertainties and challenges that benefit from having a positive, supportive, and non-judgmental person in your corner.
Whether you’re experiencing a major life overhaul, navigating a tricky time of transition, or simply feeling stuck, know that you’re looking in a great place for help! I specialize in working with people in their 20's and 30's who may be struggling with a variety of significant challenges.
Are you worried that your problems are too small for therapy? They aren’t. Or do your problems seem too big for anyone to be able to help? They aren’t. Big, small, or somewhere in between, I can help walk you through your concerns.
My goal is to provide an inviting, safe, and judgment-free atmosphere to work with you through tough times and promote clarity of thought and forward movement, including the science-backed use of visualization and imagery to help you harness the power of mindful awareness.
Maybe you’ve done the therapy thing before and need a tune up. Maybe you’re “stuck”—either on something that’s changed in your life or in the world around us—or just in general. Maybe something just feels strange or unsettling and you need another perspective.
Life can be difficult and seem unmanageable at times. Taking the step to begin therapy is an important and personal decision. I believe that healing is a collaborative journey that requires honest caring without judgment. I cooperatively assist my clients in what they want during treatment.
Even if you’ve tried therapy before and were disappointed with the process, I encourage you to try again. Sometimes, all it takes is finding the right person that “clicks” with you, and I’d love to be that therapist for you.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor

My primary goal is to address any misconceptions and provide you with the support you need. As a licensed professional counselor and board-certified art therapist, I bring over 5 years of experience in offering both traditional talk therapy and art therapy.
MA Psychologist, LPC
My approach to therapy is to be – first and foremost – a dedicated listener. I am always open and accepting, attentive and non-judgmental. I value teamwork because the journey, through life and therapy, is different for everyone.
