Marcy Geyer
Licensed Professional Counselor
Registered Art Therapist (LPC, ATR-BC)
Embarking on the journey of therapy can feel overwhelming at first, but I’m here to make the process as simple and comfortable as possible. My primary goal is to address any misconceptions and provide you with the support you need. As a licensed professional counselor and board-certified art therapist, I bring over 5 years of experience in offering both traditional talk therapy and art therapy.
Throughout my practice, I have helped numerous individuals successfully navigate life's challenges, including chronic mental health symptoms. My focus is on assisting you in managing stressors, achieving personal goals, and fostering individual growth. Also, as a Psy.D. student, I am continuously expanding my knowledge to incorporate new techniques and approaches, ensuring I can support my clients in even more ways.
I approach therapy with a non-judgmental and supportive mindset, aiming to help you challenge unhelpful patterns in your thoughts and behaviors. I believe in ongoing self-reflection, and analyzing my own behaviors, biases, and patterns to foster personal growth. By practicing what I preach, I strive to create an atmosphere of trust and authenticity between us.
Together, we’ll identify the most effective choices and strategies to help you live a fulfilling life, achieve your goals, and cultivate happiness. If you’re interested in exploring the realm of art therapy, and utilizing visual language for a unique form of expression and self-reflection, I would also be delighted to guide you through that experience.
I genuinely look forward to the opportunity to work with you. Please don't hesitate to reach out today, and let's embark on this transformative journey together!
