Lisa Hoffman
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
If you’ve found your way here, you might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply
unsure of where to turn next. I’m glad you’re here, and I’m here to help you feel supported, understood, and on a clearer path forward.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I’ve had the privilege of working with people from many different backgrounds and life experiences. I especially enjoy working with young adults as they move through life transitions and challenges like anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, chronic illness, and all the everyday stressors that can start to feel like too much.
I'm trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and use DBT and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in a flexible, person-centered way; adapting my skills to fit who you are. I also offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, an evidence- based treatment that reduces the intensity of distressing experiences to help people find relief and heal. I'm experienced in guiding people through crisis, including suicidal thoughts and self-harm, with steadiness and compassion. At the heart of my work is the belief that everyone deserves a safe, compassionate, and judgment-free space to be themselves. I incorporate a holistic and strengths-based approach to help clients recognize their resilience and feel empowered. I am an ally and a support. My clients often describe me as someone who is gentle and down to earth, but will incorporate direct feedback (and some humor) to help move things forward.
I want you to know that reaching out for help is incredibly brave. My goal is to meet you exactly where you are and walk alongside you as you work toward the changes and healing you’re hoping for. You don't have to do it alone; we're in it together.
