Meet The Therapists
Dr. Heidi McKenzie - Psychologist / Co-Owner
I'm an experienced, licensed psychologist who has been helping people get "unstuck" from unhelpful behavior patterns for over 20 years. Whether you're facing a temporary, difficult life situation or struggling with more long-standing problems like depression or anxiety, I can help. My style is direct and active - I don't simply nod my head while you talk. I'll listen closely, we'll work together on the problem and I'll offer you supportive, non-judgmental and practical feedback that will help you to navigate through the issue as quickly and effectively as possible.
Dr. Jill Fischer - Psychologist / Co-Owner
The decision to seek help from a mental health professional is not an easy one. If you’ve never been in therapy before, you likely have no idea what to expect, and you may worry that you’ll be judged, criticized, or labeled as “crazy.” If you have been to therapy before, the thought of “starting all over” with someone new can also be overwhelming, especially if your previous experiences haven’t been very helpful. Whether you’re a therapy veteran or a newbie, I believe I can help.
Dr. Lauren Manning - Psychologist
Have your difficulties become so overwhelming that your mind no longer feels like a comfortable, safe place? Maybe you recognize yourself struggling to work through painful memories or feel trapped by past hurt? My clients often come to me after feeling stuck for so long which has left them feeling tired, hopeless, and at times, ashamed. I believe that within every person lies the ability to make positive changes and live in a meaningful way that aligns with their values and beliefs.
Dr. Jennifer Tari - Psychologist
Often in life we can be our own “worst enemy,” when what we really need is to learn how to become our own best friend. Perhaps you’d like to increase your self- awareness, have healthier relationships, heal from trauma, process losses, make some tough decisions or reduce painful symptoms of anxiety and depression.
I’m an experienced, licensed clinical psychologist and have been working in the mental health field for over 20 years.
Dr. Lisa Phillips - Psychologist
I am a licensed clinical psychologist who has worked with children and family services for the majority of my career. As such, I have worked with clients across the life span, including couples work, substance use and recovery, spiritual dilemmas, parent training, and most recently, elder therapy. I am trained in behavior analysis, and various research- based procedures like CBT, and believe in establishing a strong rapport with clients. I have a long history of treating childhood and adult trauma, and will begin offering EMDR in February of 2021.

Allison Walker, LPC
Reaching out for help requires strength and you are taking the first step now by acknowledging that need. Maybe a relationship issue has you sad and confused or perhaps several negative or complicated life situations are causing you to feel overwhelmed and/or depressed. If so, you may appreciate the opportunity to talk about them with a compassionate, caring and open-minded professional. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who works with adults, children, adolescents and couples.
Harry Binenkorb, LCSW
Talking about your personal life with a stranger is an unnerving thought. As an experienced therapist with adults, adolescents and couples, I’ll help you through that first difficult step so that you can move forward to find the solutions you seek. I specialize in helping people to manage strong emotions that interfere with their relationships at home, work or school. If you’re having trouble handling anger, jealousy, impulsivity, anxiety or depression, it’s important to know that there’s a way out. The way out is not by avoiding the situation, “numbing out” with Facebook, video games, alcohol or by working overtime.
Life is stressful. There are times when even the best organized, thoughtful, careful, intelligent person finds themselves overwhelmed and feeling alone. Whether it's a long-term chronic issue that you have finally decided to work through such as a childhood issue or trauma related to abuse; or you are dealing with a newer problem such as an identity crisis, job challenge, or relationship issue- I can help.
We each have an experience and perspective that is authentic, valuable, and unique. Our journey may be exciting and fulfilling but also painful and confusing at times. In my practice, I respect the courage that it takes to reach out to a therapist and I believe it is an honor to be invited into your life experience.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, it is my goal to honor your strengths, to respect your struggle, and to collaborate with you in finding effective ways to achieve your goal.

Anxiety can feel uncomfortable and debilitating and can cause countless hours of worry, extreme physical sensations, and interfere with quality of life. Therapy can help to improve these symptoms and get you back to doing the things you enjoy.
Working together, we will identify your goals and develop strategies to reach them.
Life can be difficult and seem unmanageable at times. Taking the step to begin therapy is an important and personal decision. I believe that healing is a collaborative journey that requires honest caring without judgment. I cooperatively assist my clients in what they want during treatment.
We all become overwhelmed at times with life events that seem unmanageable. As your therapist, my goal in the therapeutic process is to provide an inviting, safe, and judgement -free atmosphere to partner with you in working through these times. I work in a way that promotes clarity of thought and forward movement, including the science-backed use of visualization and imagery to help you harness the power of mindful awareness.

Throughout our lives, it's common to feel lost, be stuck in ruts, or find that events we thought we left long behind are still plaguing us today. Relationships we've always counted on to support and lift us up may be crumbling away, or worse, knocking us down. I appreciate the difficulty it takes to ask for help or to invite someone else into your fears and perceived flaws. We are more than our mistakes, and in my practice, I respect the courage it takes to navigate through the difficult emotions brought to therapy sessions.
